As told to me by a friend who debates on the same circuit as BJU
1. BJU has a looking policy. This means that if you are looking at anyone in a seductive manner you can get in trouble. Also, a bit of background. There is no dating at BJU. It is called courting and you may not "court" without both parties having a signed permission slip from their parents. Even then, you must have a chaperone. Anyway, this engaged couple was in the library sitting across the table from each other studying and they were looking into each other eyes. Soon they were busted and sent to the dean. The guy, being a smartass, said to the dean, "Well, it's a good thing that I was wearing my glasses or she'd be pregnant". Mr. Funny was then expelled from the college. Hee!

yeah, thats funny...:) but just so you know...you can date at bju and you do not need permission from anyone:) (i'd say only 5% of the people there believe in courtship)
both my husband and i went there...i'm white, he is from caribbean...we dated while there and have now been married 1 year :)
